Bishops, You Have No Right to Complain

DISCLAIMER: I did NOT create this thread with the intention of starting a flame war. This is simply where I stand on this issue. This is directed at ALL the people who complained and made bogus threads related to the Bishop nerf of having their damage reduced from using an Elemental Wand as of the new patch. First things first: WHAT DID YOU EXPECT? Did you really think that Nexon would just let this stay with you forever? At least the way I see it, the Elemental Wand was created to help out the ARCH MAGES. This is because of their rather inadequate damage (and by inadequate damage, I refer to comparing to a physically oriented class, not a Bishop; remember that the Magic formula is crap), and thus this formed to help compensate for it. Bishops were not a part of this; otherwise a Holy Elemental Wand would ALREADY BE OUT . Why do I say this? Because it's really only a colour change in one part of the weapon, and a small change to the code (in other words, make the 1.25x apply to Holy and remove the 1.10x because Bishops don't have a secondary Element). I'm honestly just stating an opinion here, but really, it just seems that people think it's the end of the world because they lost a weapon. They can very well just use another weapon (e.g a Maple Wisdom Staff which can be scrolled MUCH godlier, or a Doomsday Staff which isn't far off from one provided you were a [low] LUK Bishop using the 130 Wand or have the godly equips to run it while still LUKless) and wait a few more levels to OHKO a Skelegon with Genesis. Bishops are overpowered. There is absolutely no getting around that. When Bishops ask for a Holy Elemental Wand they just prove how power hungry they get once they hit that stage. Fact of the matter is: Base of Genesis on a Skelegon = 1005 (670*1.5) Base of Meteor Shower/Blizzard on a Skelegon, with a Fire/Ice wand = 997 (570*1.4*1.25; this is actually 997.5, but in MS the decimal is truncated, not rounded) So Genesis actually is stronger, assuming both Mages have the same stats (which can be likely in some cases). O, but Allyssa, that's only on a Skelegon! There's no way they can outdamage an Arch Mage on a Fire/Ice weak monster, or even a NEUTRAL monster! D=

Its kinda hard to not complain since most of them probably got use to hitting high numbers with the ele wand.

I might wanna add something to your argument. In other versions, such as MSEA and KMS, there is ANOTHER training spot which is just as good to train to 200. It's called a Duku. http://sea.hidden-street.net/monsters/mons11.php#duku I know its not Holy Weak but I don't know about it being Fire-weak. But I know it's the rival to Skelegons. Just letting you know

They can hit high numbers without the ele wand. Ele wands: 145 MA average. Let's assume 5 60's hit. 155/5 Ele. 160 total stats. Maple shine/wisdom: 80 average. Assume 5 60's, 90/5. 95 total stats. DD: 118 average, 5 60's. 128/5. 133 total stats. So they lose 65 magic. Bawwwwww. It's not even that big a gap; maple weapons are more readily availiable and therefore, easier to 30% to godly. Hell, I heard of a 140 total stats shine wand in Broa the other day. DD's are their ele wand now. Wasn't even meant for them in the first place <_<.

Very true. The bishops I hear sound like spoiled children being told "no" for once. About damn time. Quick question, when you mentioned Pink Bean, arch mages will be unlikely to get in at all while they are going to take a couple bishops in n matter what else they bring along. You make it sound like bishops don't get it....I was under the impression they were kinda important...

I heard Zombie, a status inflicted by Pink Bean or a statue that makes Heal hurt and decreases potency of potions, couldn't be dispelled or All cured. Besides, with a time limit like that, people would probably rather have attackers.
