Exp gained while switching channels?

Is it possible to get exp for a monster u killed while on a different channel, but it died from ur effect such as poison mist while you were on a different channel. EX: Mage uses flame curtain and switches channels, monsters die because of flame curtain, do you gain exp?

Flame curtain cannot kill, but it can weaken the monsters to 1 HP

poison mist doesnt kill a monster, it leaves it at 1hp, so they wont die unless someone else kills them. Im not sure if fire curtain leaves tem at 1hp, but i would assume so. Either way, if youre not in the same map and channel when the monster dies, you wont get any exp.
