It's their choice whether or not to leech. I can see why people think it's unfair, but it takes a lot of time to make the mesos to afford leech.

buttfore said: "They can't hack right after the patch..." Naivete at its finest. They decided to trade fun for quick leveling - nothing wrong with that, as their main characters will now have the +12 W/M ATT bonus. Personally, if I ever made one, it'd be entirely for the (weapon) attack bonuses.
