How do the quest after the maker skill

Yea... i have no idea on how how to use the maker skill, and apparently when i made a intermediate crystal 1 the dude doesnt take it i'm, can someone explain to me what is what, and how the maker skill works, and how to make the monster crystals? and does it need weaps only...

For the intermediat crystal i just dissasembled some lvl 50 equip and got 6.

You need to make it again. That's what happened with me. He didn't like it the first time, and the second time (100 more items) he did.
