| There are too many idiots here ; false information grows and spreads like bacteria in a moist environment. There needs to be something to stop this problem such as a system of points rewarded to those who post proper information. Upon receiving a certain amount of points, such a person may, with let's say... 5 other people agreeing who exceed the amount of points specified, delete the post. This would greatly reduce the spread of false information, and in addition, it would prevent flame wars from starting. Due to 5 other people needing to agree with the person who requested the post to be deleted, such a system would be hard to abuse. Not only this, but one could implement a system where 50 good posts would give the person a rank F, 100 a rank D, and so forth respectively. This way a post needs 2 Rank A's to be deleted, or 5-10 Rank F's. This system could greatly reduce the amount of false information that can lead to this forum having a bad reputation, being seldom used, or altogether ignored. Please note this is still in the making. *Good Post Points* would be awarded by moderators. |

| Awesome idea Joe . OR do what I've been telling for ages. Instead of recruiting new mods all the time, and all of them going into generals, ASSIGN A GOD DAMNED SECTION FOR EACH MOD . |

| Ideas similar to this were suggested previously. It can be abused, and it will cause elitism, due to the fact of how some basilers can be pretty immature. The easy solution to this is report those who give out false information, and correct them when possible. It's against the rules to give out false information. |

If it's abused once, the person could lose all privileges. I mean, it would take a while to earn. The deleted posts could also be 'revived.' Correcting everyone who's wrong is a pain... |

I've been reporting and correcting posts for ages, and still, the same questions and misconceptions pop up again, and again, and again, which led me to flaming 24/7 in the F/P section. @Limo-something: read above. |

It wouldn't work. It'll get out of hand. If you think I'm spewing trash, a feature called BasilExp previously was out on Basilmarket, where you would receive points upon reporting somebody, and doing other good deeds I believe, alike to this, minus the privileges. It went out of control, fast. Not only will this probably still be here with your function, but a new problem, elitism will arrive. I understand your concern. However, if you want an answer to a question, either read the stickies, or take the chance and ask it. |

It sounds bad and leads to the deterioration of this forum. |

And yeah, I've seen it. But if we spent time thinking of solutions instead of problems, we might just come up with something! |

I really feel terrible for the both of you. Though, there are always those intelligent users whom respond accordingly, right? |

WE are usually the ones to do that. And we are tired, completely tired of answering nicely to a question we answer at least 3 times a day. What are those? What's luk good for? Should I be a bishop? Luckless. vs. Reg Luck? I/L vs. F/P vs. Bishop? Really. You don't know how annoying answering those at least 3 times a day. I just flame and tell them to use the search function instead of answering. |

OT: Do you link them to the stickies? Few debate them apparently. |

Yeah, linking people to stickies would be a good idea. Debates always turn into flame wars, anyways. However, some stickies can be outdated, inaccurate, or both. Which is another problem. 0_0 TS: I think a system like that would be too easily abused, especially in popular forums like General MS and Chat. It also strongly resembles BasilExp, which mrbasil took out a long time ago for some reason. So I doubt it'll be implemented. |
