CAUTION: Wall Of Text. Okay. As MOST [Not All] people who play maplestory, I was excited for the new Knights of Cygnus. Not excited enough to be bouncing off the walls, but excited to the point that I was pretty happy they were coming out. I go to sleep the day before they come out, sleeping alot earlier then normal, to wake up early. I wake up the next morning, and my dad brings my laptop into my room (He usually uses it in the morning before he goes to work) and places it on my dresser. I wake up, and give him a half awake stare, and he tells me "Your laptop is broken". I reply with "... What the hell did you do to it?". "Oh I don't know, you must have done it." The day before my laptop was running as smooth as ever, but when I tried to turn it on that morning, (Ignoring what my father had said) it seemed to work fine. As I log on it tells me Windows Explorer is not working. It was one of those typical Vista error messages. So it wouldn't let me log on. I thought to myself, "Okay... I gues I'll reboot it." So I try to reboot it. I leave it rebooting to go get some breakfast. When I come back upstairs, I see there was an error message on the screen. The Error message read: "Error #308". I'm not that good with computers, so I had no idea what it meant. I decided I would try and start it up again... When I tried to start it up, a message came up: "Operating System Not Found". My suggestion is that the reboot had erased half of the files, and crashed, so half of the files stayed erased, and they were key components on the startup. Now I am stuck on a crappy desktop, with restrictions. I am not an admin, so all I can do is do browser based things. I'm not allowed to download anything because my step mother thinks I will do what I did to my laptop, on this computer. My laptop is still under warranty, so we sent it in. I get my laptop back in 6 weeks.

Oh wow. Sorry for your terrible luck man. Plus, by the time you get it back, you will surely have mvoed on to something else to occupy your time...maybe one day you'll remember how cool Cygnus Knights looked.

That happened to my old laptop; the OS completely vanished because there had been a power surge and it caused it to turn off. All I did was reinstall Windows from a disc and it was alright, although I did lose all my files, obviously. Also, I could get a free disc of Windows XP. D: Hope your new laptop works fine!

Hey, I'm feeling the same thing! My PC crashed 2 days before the patch was coming. It won't turn on and such. I'm using my mom's laptop to play atm, and I can only use it when she's at work, and during midnights. FML.
