Elemental Weapon Reduction

Why do Bishops still use the elemental wands/staffs even though they give reduction? For those who don't know, after the last patch, all elemental wands/staffs give reduction (lower's dmg by alot) to Bishops. Also, does this mean Elemental Wand 8 and Elemental Wand 6 are useless now because i/l and f/p only need Elemental Wand 5 (fire type) and Elemental Wand 7(ice type) for their ultimates (blizzard and meteor)? Hopefully the prices for elemental weapons will go down now.

they're already down by a lot, i seen ele 7's and 5's go for less than 300m now lol, and the 6's and 8's are less than 200m

the elemental weapons even with the 25% decrease are still better than most lukless weapons out there, a regular luk bishop would be a fool to keep the ele wand.
