I'm on a limited user account and I'm getting frustrated about not being able to install the simplest things, like an updated browser, or Adobe Flash. ._. My uncle won't give me the password for the Administrator because he thinks I'm going to download malicious files or something.

start in safe mode? press f3 when you turn on the comp its a hidden super-admin acc just use it :P

Press 'F8' before the window logo screen on startup

To boot up into safe mode, restart your computer and wait for the boot up screen to pass. You do not want to hit F8 at this time because it might bring up the boot selection menu. After the boot up screen passes you'll usually see a blinking underscore to the top right hand of your screen. Keep tapping F8 QUICKLY so that it can execute the Advanced Boot Options screen. If you're having trouble finding the right time to hit F8, or you're not seeing the blinknig underscore, you might want to study your boot up process. Yeah, this means you'll have to continually reboot until you understand how long it takes from the boot up screen to the Windows XP/Vista/7 loading screen/bar. You don't want to continually tap F8 when you see the loading screen/bar because that's too late and it will already have booted up Windows normally. You want to hit the F8 button right after the boot up screen and right before the Windows loading screen. Good luck.
