I got signed up for (acoustic) guitar lessons finally. I think I'm catching on to fingerpicking quite quickly, too. Protip: as you get older, it becomes harder to learn things. So if you want to learn something special, do it before you turn 21! That's when we start degenerating!

I'm the same as you. I learned Time of your Life in less than 2 years (not sure if that's talented but I'm still proud of it =D)

Scales. Chords. Arpeggios. Shifting excercises also helped me a bunch in violin. I have to get an electric one. BASIL HIPSTER BAND

i'm teaching myself, screw 90 bucks a month. spent 250 bucks on an acoustic and took a month or so of lessons and i've been teaching myself for about a year and a half. i can play white sparrows, and fallen leaves by billy talent, every song by three days grace, broken by seether, tears don't fall and hand of blood by bullet for my valentine, perfect by simple plan... must I go on?
