So I realize the secret to basil threads is short but sweet, so i'll spare the details. My dad and I were going to build a computer together but he didn't want to spend a lot of money on good parts. I tried to get my mom to buy nice parts and she didn't at first, and my dad found out and got mad. Later she wanted me to give my PC to my sister so she got me the parts. Now I built it and the computer is in my room, and my dad doesn't know about it. Should I tell him or just let him find out? I'm afraid he'll get really, really mad, but I don't know. If I tell him it might be more responsible but if I don't, he might not make as big a deal of it. We are pretty close.

Well if he's going to find out eventually, it's better sooner than later.

McLovin said: "Well technically it wasn't your two's build. It was yours. So like yeah.." Well, the thing is originally we were going to build them together but he didn't want to spend a lot of money on new parts (he had some old parts that we built together but it was not functional because it was so old). So I think he kind of wanted to do it with me, but I was too chicken to ask him to help.

tell him you didnt want to waste your time building a piece of crap, and he didn't want to help you build a GOOD computer so you had to yourself.
Joeyyo 07/30/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
it's better telling him because theres a 50% chance that you might not get in trouble :P
Billtwit 07/30/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
tell him. you'll get in more trouble if you don't tell him and possibly lose your new computer.
XxXKyuanXxX 07/30/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
