Do I need Soul Runner?

For Dawn warrior do i need to get soul runner? If so, do i have to get it right away?

You max that and sprite instead of rage.

its really more of a novelty like fj. Not overly useful till after cpq because the rooms 3&4 are already small enough just to spam soul blade Edit: and the fact that its 60mp at lvl 1 makes it just terrible for warriors, my dawn warrior only has 335 mp at lvl 34

No, rage is completely useless. No one in a high leveled party likes it, warrior elixirs last longer, and only costs 5k.
