Great gaming computer right? But I was just looking at top video cards, and I saw one that reached up to $700. I'm pretty sure a video card shouldn't be the price of some computers. Lupe doesn't really understand why people need such expensive graphic cards. People keep saying for video and photo editing but I can do that with my card, and it costed me only $120.

Special effects for which you need a lot of power. Not just your average house special editing. Stuff thats gonna be on TV editing.

They have workstation GPUs for graphics rendering purposes.

Alienware is not good. They're just over-advertised average gaming computers. They don't have much gaming power for their price. $1600 for a computer I could spend $800 to make.

Usually the CPU or the other components make up for the drastic price. I've seen another one that had an ATI card and was about $200 more than the actual price of the card and was a full computer. The downside was it had a crappy CPU. Sometimes that happens with CPUs as well. I saw one with an i7 but it had a crappy video card.

QFT 2D images base stuff isn't drastic and it doesn't stress the CPU when rendering, but when you try to render a 2D show/movie in avi to mpeg in HD(1024x768 Atleast) it'll bottleneck your computer. Also the workstation cards are for 3D design/special affect ex: G-Force, but the GTX 280,295 is based on gaming since most First Person Shooting game base it on Frame Per Sec. So more frames = no staggering image = smooth play. EDIT: Also you should all know the better your cpu is the faster movie convert(mpeg,avi). Also, the workstation cards are best for creation.
