What's with the Screen-Accepting System?

I see that when your screen or drawing is accepted, a bot sends you a message. How come recently both of my drawings that were accepted never was placed on the Lastest Screens box thing? I post them on here for critique but I end up having almost none.

Some screens are specially selected to be shown on the front page, while the others that are accepted are only seen among the others, and in the submitter's BasilID.

But some of the drawings up there (No offense) really really suck; there was one that looked like it was done by a 2nd grader in 5 minutes, and another one where it was literally some random girl's notebook that she doodled on in her class with info like "MY IGN:, Level:, Goal:" and wheeeeee written all over it. If it's based on how good it is, I'm very depressed seeing as to how doodles beat me

IDK, I think if whoever reviews screens likes it, then they'll put it on front page. Unless he's like drunk or high or not thinking right or got hacked or whatever.

Some screens are 'less interesting' than others, but it's pretty much out of our control. It used to be that only a few screens of the highest quality were shown on the front, but many people complained that their screens weren't getting accepted. Then the mods were allowed to select screens they thought were good, but that got revoked because of...stuff happening. Now, it's just Mr. Basil, who selects what screens to go to the front page, and everything else that is still acceptable gets dumped in the stream and in the BasilIDs.
