Monitor not working

i was playing maplestory creating my CK and then i accidently clicked the sleep button on my keyboard. now my monitor wont turn on i cant test it with other computers because i dont have any other ones (on my laptop) im using vista

Shame shame, try restarting your computer. If that doesnt work smash your head against your keyboard around 5-200 times.

Make sure your monitor power cable isnt compromised (lolwut). See if its securely attached to the monitor.

it was already working until i accidentally pushed the sleep mode button. i havent touched the monitor before that

Go to the back of your computer tower, and flip the switch to turn it off, and again to turn it back on. That would of shut down your computer completely, and it should work now.
