I was just wondering if Corsairs were hard to control (as in compared to a Shadower or Bucc with a 1000 moves to deal with at 4th job). I played with my friend's shad and bucc and I had a hard time control them, but maybe because they had so many moves to be used. I was wondering is corsairs were different, since theyre ranged and I guess their arsenal of moves isnt AS big. Ty :3

it takes skeel to be pro, unlike mages where all u spam is one aoe, nl and buccs actually need you to click 2 buttons instead of 1 :D

Buccaneers aren't hard to control, Shadowers are. Corsairs are a bit in between. It takes a long time to get used to all your skills and to be able to use all of them effectively. Once you got through the basics, you'll be fine for the rest of your career untill we get monsters who do things we don't have yet. Like monsters with AoE attacks or auto-aggro monsters in a small map we can't 1-3 hit KO. Don't leech, play and train your Corsair and you'll be fine. Bottom right newties is a hard but fast way to learn how to protect your ship effectively.

Corsair micro can be easily mastered with a bit of practice! With well practiced position and/or patrol command, it can be very useful for early harrassment in a common ZvP. As Z usually attempt harrass with speedlings, you can counter with forge + early expo, and go sair tech once your economy is well off with a good amount of gas and minerals. In addition to it's unique splash damage to air units, webbing ability can come handy in a TvP, If you choose to early triple expo, making 4~5 corsair in between the transition of early goons to carriors. With two grouping of goons and 3~5 sairs, a early wave of those units, with good use of d-web can crack a T defense fairly easy, as tenks take a good amount of time to unsiege and move out of the web. Good luck with making good use of corsairs, as it is one of the most useful unit in the game! Here is a basic outline of corsair PvT build, as many are unfamiliar with it Step1 7/9 pylon 10/17 gatway 12/17 assim. 14/17 cybernetic core ?/17 Robotic Fac. - As soon as you gain 200 pas after production of 2 goons, 3rd goons is made as Robotic is being made. ?/17 Shuttle + rever Step2 rever + goon dropship harass, as T palyer can out spawn P if it is unharmed Early expo to natural with sucessful dropship harassment As natural gas is 1st mined, 1~2 starport with 4+ gateways This corsair tech only requires 4~5 zlots, rest on goons after 4rd sair, fleet becon + web upgrade ~6 sair + ~24 goons with web upgrade will defeat average T army or tenks and vultures. remember to zlot bomb between the mines and the tenks gg

But I think you said Corsair, meaning 120+.

I hope you have alot of fun begging people to sell you leech while making a fool of yourself. Don't forget, maple story is a chore and not a game. For gods sake don't try to play this game and stay away from that thing called 'fun'.

I don't think newties would be such a good place to try and get used to ship since they usually attack the moment they spawn. Wouldn't skeles, or some medium boss (like leviathan) be better to get used to it? :o

You learn pretty quickly to make sure you immobilize them instead of running headfirst into battle and spam your attacks. Corsairs are a slow-ish defensive class which only does well if they protect their ship well enough. Newties are harsh because you have to keep things in mind like server lag, lag from your own connection, frozen monsters still moving around and moments where you almost want to scream ''what the hell!I froze that newtie!''. After you can deal with those things, you learned how to react at almost every map.

Yup, after you get run over by a skating Nest Golem enough times you learn not to train at Newties anymore because it's pretty much the worst pot burn you'll ever come across as a Corsair. Instant enemy reaction times ftl. I don't think of Corsairs as a defensive class at all, I play it purely offensively. I've done my share of standing on top of a mob and killing it before it can bump or attack me again. It's all about efficiently managing your vast arsenal of attacks. The ship is a freaking tank even with one point into it so there's not much breaking to worry about.

Me and the few Corsairs who asked me all agree Newties are a major help to learn how to deal with your Battleship. Aside from that, the exp is good.

I deal with sliding monsters by killing them before they get to me. Confined spaces = freeze and kill mob as fast as possible. Newties are a major help for learning how to dismount to avoid damage, but after you start 2hkoing, it's less about avoiding damage and more about killing things before they attack you.

Yea I agree. But i'm still going to say that all new Corsairs should be at the newties for atleast 2 levels to learn your basic mounting and dismounting delays of your Battleship. Just curious, how did you do when you just started using your Battleship? It has nothing to do with this topic. I do remember I was horrible at using the dang thing from level 121-124.

well if u have the experience of getting to 12x then it should be easy to control, like the shad, u only played it once so u wont now how to use it correctly

I hate using RF just doesn't feel right to me and I need to work on my ship control XD
