question about sprites

i've been looking at some guides in prep for my dawn warrior, and i'm a bit confused about the sprites. do they give defense boosts or not? this guide lists a temporary defense boost given when the sprite is summoned: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1123313/0//1PirateLords_Guide_to_the_DawnWarrior.html# this page also mentions an increase in w.def/m.def with the sprite summon: http://www.maplewiki.net/index.php?title=Sprite_Summon however, look at the footnote at the bottom of the page- "The boost for weapon defense and magic defense is currently unavailable." will the boosts be available for gms? finally, this guide doesn't mention any sort of defense boosts associated with sprite summons at all: http://forum.nexoneu.com/NXEU.aspx?g=posts&t=64567 thanks

I believe there will be a M.Def and W.Def Increase with the sprites, but hey, who gives a care? You're going to have more HP than Reg. Warriors at your lvl anyways, so Who needs Def? O.o

i'm gonna save all my money for equips, boycotting the use of pots to increase my profits, so i'll probably heal by sitting on my palm tree chair lol thus, every lil bit of def will be important to me.

they wont but dawn warrior and night walkers spritesare AoE meaning theyre just like genesis with lower dmg
