A few days back i injured my left leg in an accident. I went to see the doctor the same day as the accident. The doctor took x-rays of my leg. Today i went back to the doctor to check whats up with my leg. He told me that "Your entire left leg has injured bones and most are partially broken from the knee and down, also your knee cap is almost completely split apart. If you attempt to walk and apply force to your left leg your knee cap will split apart completely, i suggest you call this specialist *hands my mom documents*, you will go through a surgery involving metal wiring and fillings", Ok, you might think he sounded really serious but i couldn't take him seriously, he had a very thick Indian accent, through the whole thing i almost busted out laughing. Anyway, my mom, who cares so much about me, looked really shocked, but not at my situation, she whispered to my dad in Vietnamese saying " i dont think our insurance is going to cover this". Then my dad asked in a very thick asian accent " Is this surgery necessary?". This is where my eye starts twitching, The doctor looked shock and said "Well, its either this surgery or you son will never be able to walk normally again, he said it with a nervous chuckle. My dad, being the loving parent he was said "So.... this surgery is not necessary? I do not want to spend money on something that is not necessary."(i want you to picture an asian man saying that with a very thick asian accent). The doctor looked at me with pitiful eyes, i just shrugged at him. Well in the end my parents called the surgeon ( because they realized that their insurance could cover it). Well, thats another mental scar that i'll have to sort out in therapy in about 20 years. I'd like talk about other scars my parents caused ( no, not my father's constant beatings, i mean mental ones) but if you read this entire thing i dont want to make you read more. Too long huh? Side Story: *Walks through metal detector in airport*, *BEEEEEEEP*, "TERRORIST! GET HIM!" "I'M TELLING YOU ITS MY LEG GOD DAMIT!" P.S: Yeh, i no i got owned.

Woah. wtf. I guess I could understand, I mean, Asian parents (stereotypically) want to save money and such. But that's just brutal =

Don't feel bad, I would burst out laughing if my doctor had a thick Indian accent. Sucks that your parents would rather have you have a messed up leg than paying money to have it fixed.
