Feathers, because you need more feathers to make 1000lb, then rocks. Unless, by saying rocks, you meant pebbles, which you did not make clear.

You sir, need a grammar lesson. I think he's imply which has a greater number of objects. 1000lb of feathers, plural. 1000lb of rock, one rock. Thus there are more feathers. I THINK that is what he is trying to say, just very poorly worded.

Well, basically, they both weigh the same, since it is 1000lb of rocks and 1000 lb of feathers.

They weigh the same and the mass could POTENTIALLY be different. It depends on what type of feather and what type of rock.
