Clerics don't feel obligated to heal v2

on the other thread someone said to make a poll and i decided ot make one lol I died in a pq earlier because i was having pot lag and i had to have the cleric stick close to me and heal. The cleric stopped and I died. I proceeded to get pissed at him and leave the party. He was telling me its not his job to make sure i am alive and I "shouldn't rely on a cleric". Well its not my job to attack monsters either so I should just not do that because I don't feel like it. Seriously, that's what they sound like. It IS his job to heal and because he didn't do it, I died. ~JuanGotoh

I think Clerics are not responsible for you dieing, but they should heal when asked for it...

I think it's their job to help you (buffs, saving potions, more exp), not really keep you alive because at some point, they do need to use a potion or they can lag.

They should heal, but a person should NOT rely solely on the cleric. Keep some pots handy. =/

The only time I have a problem with them is when they offer to spam heal, then they just stop. It doesn't really effect me because I pot when my health goes down regardless, but everyone who dies basically goes crazy on them.

They are a support class, but not your heal slaves..you can't blame them if you die.

If it's not their job to heal, then what is their job? o-0 And if someone's having pot lag or has to focus a lot more on attacking, the cleric needs to focus more on healing. They're just mad because they can't face the fact that the main reason they're wanted in parties is because they heal.

it is a cleric's job to heal the party, but i find that sometimes i get preoccupied with something else and i might not be paying attention for a bit (might be typing, etc.), just watch the cleric, if they stop healing then use a pot, you shouldnt rely on clerics, theyre there to heal, its their fault that you died, but part of the blame is yours too for not paying attention yourself

No matter what people say, Clerics are meant to heal. I've had a Bishop, I know what it's like. Whenever I LPQed/OPQed (waaaay back in the day <3) I wouldn't waste time attacking. I'd heal, bless, heal etc etc. More recently I've made a new LUKless Cleric. Even though he's LUKless, I still focus more on healing then attacking. It's my duty, and I refuse to fail it just because I want to see a 400 x2 pop up.
