It was basically the dark ages. Just as many scammers we have now compared to when Maplestory first released. Hackers basically ruled Maplestory. Prices are just as bad, most people were so broke they couldn't even afford a measly 600k panlid. A lot of illiterate people (and you think right now is bad) KS wars was like a trend especially at coolies and FoG. Everyone was basically struggling to level. I don't understand how Maplestory was so wonderful back then. Basically Maplestory right now is fantastic. We have so many features to benefit us, so forget reminiscing about the past, because the present is even better.

All the old school stuff was better. Like old school rap and the economy, for example. But, look at everything now..the world is in hell right now, and so is Maple.

Old maple story was more i guess random in the community now days everyone is under 12 and can't speak correctly also leveling was hard which made it more enjoyable it was good to know that being 70 actually meant you were pretty strong versus today when 70 is just a high leveled ho

Yeah it's pretty much the same. I honestly did play in Tespia (No one will believe me for some reason lol). Tespia had so many hackers and so little places to train in contrast to now with the high prices on things and the variety of places to train make the game worse than it's potential. Somewhere in the middle lies a good Maplestory.

More Fun there was no aggresion to lvl it was just lvl with friends or just play around with people :3. Each lvl was a achievement(can't spell) now one lvl after a lvl.
