Just a quick question how do u no if u do have a key logger?

Most times there will be NO indication there's a keylogger active on your computer. They're DESIGNED that way so they can do their dirty work with you none the wiser. The ONLY way to find a keylogger is to run a scanner that will detect them. You MUST run REGULAR anti-virus scans AND anti-spyware scans to be assured of finding anything that infects your system. I use AVG Free for anti-virus, and Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware, with Spyware Blaster to block "evil sites". Google them.

I use Spysweeper. It works pretty well. =D And avoid any sites that have the word 'Nexon' in the web address. (excluding the nexon website of course =p)

/run program, not exactly sure anymore due to good security. Look up on that through google or something, and if more than one IP address shows up, you have a keylogger.

I have a question, sorry i have to use you're thread to ask this. Is downloading things the only way you can get a keylogger? or is it possible to get a keylogger from just visiting any random website?

Well, they can hack your MS account, but most keyloggers are after other info like your credit card #. My bro went to a website on one of the WoW forums. Some dude said, "click this link" and he clicked and was keylogged. They tampered with his WoW account. And also, don't click on random links, unless you run them through an antivirus thingy (yea, I am so technical=p), or if u know that the url is safe.

You can open an e-mail that says something like "A friend has just sent you an e-card! Click here to read the card." (That's EXACTLY how the "Magania" trojan was spread from China with keyloggers to specifically target online games- like Maple Story. You can plug in an infected USB device. A friend brings you the latest MP3 on a USB thumb drive and also unknowingly brings you his keylogger. You can download and run an infected program with a keylogger trojan attached. This happens A LOT with garbage from pirating web sites. (Meso generators come to mind.) AND- you can get a trojan injected onto your computer simply by VISITING an infected web site. Quietly, in the background, things can be inserted onto your computer using what's known as a "driveby download". Anyone who tells you the only way to get a keylogger is by downloading something is very ill informed.
