How to get un-bored of Maple?

Hi everyone, I'd like to thank you in advance for your help. :D Recently, I've been getting sorta bored of Maple. It used to be fun, and there are fun parts, but lately I've realized I'm playing more for a person, rather than the game. But that person isn't online too much now, but it's still my easiest way of talking to her (I can't text, and neither of us use AIM, etc). I want to find enjoyment in Maple again. Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do to find some joy in playing again? It can be suggesting a new character, a new thing to do in-game, etc., just be specific. ^^ And don't say, "Get a life," because there's really nothing to do where I live unless you have friends with you, and they're out of town a lot or in summer school. I get to see them a few times a week, but when I'm on Maple, I'm bored. :P THANKS.

i have those feelings too sometimes.. try just traveling around the world and do random quests. or do PPQ. make a new character or.. play sports

But one day I went to Lower Ascent, and it was crazy fun. The only characters I could get to 2nd job while having fun were both thieves n' both pirates. I stopped playing assassin though, and I'm gonna quit on my slinger, since I'm a melee person. maplestory is a very linear game and is quite boring without a goal if it was easy to solve maplestory would not suck so much

@Yamaman, any suggestions on music? @xxBoomerxx, I have done that, and one of my best motivations is to buy an item I love ahead of time, so I work harder at being able to wear it. The best time it worked was with my Silver identity (yeah, i still pwn people without a zhelm :D), but as leveling gets slower, that effect is wearing off.

If you can go long without playing Maple you can always go a month without Maple and go back after the next patch. I took a two month break and got back on til the third patch so I had 3 patches worth of quests and added stuff to enjoy.

Guys, people have said this 1000 times, if you need motivation to play a game you shouldn't be playing it... You should be enjoying it because you like it. If you need motivation, just quit.. I quit for 6 months, come back and play for 3 weeks 6 hours a day, then quit for another 6 months...
