Xbox 360 controller + MapleStory

I saw a thread earlier about a guy who enjoyed playing MapleStory with his PS2 controller. I thought about how cool it would be to be kickin' back and playin' some MS with my xbox 360 controller. He stated that all you needed was a converter and some software to convert button presses into key presses, which he gave a link to. I can't seem to find the thread now... If anyone knows where I can get an xbox 360 controller -> USB converter, and this software, or can give me a link to this thread... Thank you. EDIT: I see a few things that say I need a wired controller to do this. That's OK, I can go out and purchase one, they're only like $25, right? Also, I really need a link to the Drivers and the Software (Joy2Key). Maybe I can just google it? BRBGoogle. EDIT 2: OK, I found the software. I simply Google'd "Joy2Key", and chose the first link, the english version. Computer nerds, How do I know if I already have DirectX6 Installed? EDIT 3: Ugh, nobody wants to talk to me . Someone help, please. I just need to know if I have DirectX6 installed or not! I will go out sometime today and purchase a corded xbox360 controller EDIT 4: OK, I was reading through the posts, and this user, Michael, said there is a Wireless Reciever for my PC. THATS what I need! Michael said: " Okay, You used to be able to buy wired controllers and if you had one of those you could just plug it in, download Joy2Key, configure it, and you're ready to go. Now, with the wireless controllers, you need to buy a microsoft wireless reciever for the pc, then just sync it, then download joy2key, configure, and go. " I have Joy2Key, so all I need is the wireless reciever for my PC, and to sync it. Anyone know how much a divice like this might cost me? EDIT 5: I'm bored. So I'm going to go play MapleStory. It's actually really simple, I've done it before on a couple different occasions. First off, you need to download an Xbox 360 controller driver. I'm pretty sure that there are several different sites that offer a free download. Next, you're gonna want to download a program called Joy2Key. It's a pretty user friendly program that just lets you assign the inputs on the controller with various keys on the keyboard. Once you have that, you're pretty much ready to roll.

I play with a Xbox 360 Pad. I use Joy2Key to convert my keyboard to pad. I also use XBCD360 to change some axes. I don't if it works with a wireless pad tho

i was like wtf omfg aaaa when i read this but then i realized most pplz xbox 360 controllers are wireless lol. i recommend u get 1 corded xbox 360 controller tho. picture this ur battery runs out in the middle of a halo 3 match. u cant do anything but if u have a corded controller just plug it in and u can play :D. also it would fix ur other problem. and an exbox 360 controller doesnt nearly have enoguh buttons on it to play maplestory unless u normally use ur mouse a lot ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww nubs use mouse

The ones with a wire are not from microsoft themself. There are a few official ones with a wire but they aren't sold anywhere besides online stores IIRC.

SO do you need a certain cord to get this to work or can I just take my xbox 360 controller and set this up?

All you need is something to connect your controller with to your computer. It could be a wireless reciever, or you might have a controller that has an USB cable or some sort.

I have a USB cable, I have a few different ones actually, so that would work? I have a few possibilities though, I have a ps2 controller, game cube controller, original xbox controller, and xbox 360 controller, which would be best?
