Mages have a lot of useless attacks

I will use I/L as an example, but this applies to F/P and bishop as well. There are only 4 good attacks for an I/L mage, one for each job advancement. Magician: Magic Claw I/L Wizard: Thunderbolt I/L Mage: Ice Strike I/L Archmage: Blizzard The rest of the skills are useless: Magic Bolt - no comment Cold Beam - low damage, only hits 1 target Magic Comp - doesn't work with elemental wands, low damage, only hits 1 target Thunder Spear - very slow attacking time, low damage, only hits 1 target Chain Lightning - low damage, blizzard is better for bosses and training Ice Demon - low damage, blizzard is better for bosses and training All of these skills are not efficient since their damage is not high enough to be used at either training or bosses. The only time you would use these skills is when you are in unprofitable situations (for example, fighting a boss that does not give good rewards). When you are fighting a real boss like Horntail, you would use a real skill like blizzard. So, this means that 60% of our skills suck.

yea, but even if every attack was useless except ultimates, it's worth it. itsnot like you NEED a ton of good skills

I agree, Truffle. @Above: No one uses BB to train, except in other versions. This is GMS. BB has utter CRAP range, & it's just too slow.

You don't bliz ....Zak bodies? I mean, CL does more damage over time..but yeah, most of our skills get replaced/rarely get used.

Aren't there a few things that give some skills some potency? -Energy Bolt is required to get Magic Claw -Cold Beam can be used in 3rd job as a finisher against Ice weaks -Chain Lightning has a better dpm than Blizzard against a single monster (even with an Ele7, unless it's Ice weak) -if you actually get into a serious boss run, they will be against you using Blizzard as it will cause the main attackers lag -Ice Demon can be used to make Blizzard/Chain Lightning/Ifrit more effective I may not have too much experience on the 4th job skills, but I definitely do not think they suck.

i propose they put a cool down an blizzard and make the skills you mentioned more powerful. It must be so boring to be an arch mage otherwise.

True, but there's no point in maxing it. It's useless to do so. 2. Or you can just press Ice Strike? Same efficacy. 3. Since when do Magic users specialize 1v1 4. If you lag then you shouldn't be going on a boss run. Get a better computer/internet. 5. Almost NO one trains with CL & Ifrit in GMS. How does Ice Demon make Blizzard more effective?

From what I've heard Cold Beam is very useful, as well as Chain Lightning On other skills I do agree with you though

If you use CL in a solo it is much easier to die, and the summons always get in the way. I didn't say to SKIP all of these skills, just that they aren't any good. 2. But why would you need to be spamming CL on a single monster? All of the good bosses (HT, zak, pink bean) are multi target. 3. I was asked to spam bliz at HT. 4. The time it takes to use ID on all the monsters before casting bliz would make it inefficient to train at an ice-resistant monster.
