How does a bowman maximize his damage with AP distribution?

It's LowStr. Cap it to fit your Str Caps and your prefered Bow. It's much easier to buy Archer-Specific Gear in order to get Str along with Dex. Like getting a Dex Bowmen Overall because it's bound to have some Str, same with Att Gloves and Dex Shoes. Here's an example 15/15/15/15 Z-Helm 8 Dex Earrings 5 Str 15 Dex Red Kismet (Can't remember any other Bowmen overall) 3 Str 6 Dex Purple Tipped Boots (Can't remember any other Bowmen Shoe) 2 Str 5 Dex 8 Att Dark Cordon 8 Dex 2 Att Pac 5/5/5/5 MoN You can easily attain some extra Str by wearing Archer clothes, it's harder to sell, but it's cheaper to buy. An alternative is a Str Top and Dex Bottom (Highest leveled Archer Specific Tops and Bottoms are Lv40)

Low Str will use a Zakum Helm's 15 Str and Dex, but Normal Str would only use the Dex. In terms of power, Str-less and then converting to Low Str is best. Str-less will get you that extra boost for a while, but when that boost runs out, you should start adding Str (around the end of 2nd job to beginning of 3rd job) to compensate.

Umm not necessarily.. It's a lot more simple to get a few solid items that give you big str boost. Like Z-helm, MoN and a few points from overall. Then scroll everything for dex, so you can easily upgrade your gear. It would be a pain in the ass to go and try to upgrade when you'd have to take into account that you need the item to have a specific amount of str too.
