do you ever get this depressing feeling?

im a very avid reader, and i've read quite alot of books in my time. some of the masterpieces, such as the harry potter series, are so good, that when i had finished reading the entire series, i get really depressed because thats the end of the story... i also get this feeling at the end of the series of a tv show or a fanfic im reading online, and i was just curious if anybody else gets this feeling

not only when its sad romance, sometimes when the story ends happily, i get this feeling that i wish the story would continue and never end, but of course thats not possible

I think I feel depressed because the voids such stories once filled are empty once they end, so then I have to find something else to fill in those voids.

just an example, i just finished reading a pokemon fanfic (yes, i love pokemon, and im practically the biggest fan of it in the world) and it ended with a slightly happy ending, and i got the "feeling"

It feels that way when I'm playing a good game. HL2 felt like it was massive, and it'd take me weeks to finish. Beat it in one week. Still waiting for any indication of more Half Lifes to come.

I don't read unless I need to for school or something. I DO get that feeling after completing a game.

i also get this feeling when i discover a new book series, video game series, or tv show series, (anime included) and i really like it (as in, i like the series NOT the feeling), i wish that i was in the place of one of the characters in the book, because i want to experience what they're doing and everything - its not that i think my life is crap, its pretty decent, its just that i wish that i could go into that life or dimension or alternate universe or whatever and experience what the main character is feeling - if you guys dont get what im saying, heres an example - as stated before, im practically the biggest pokemon fan in the world (yes, you can laugh, i dont care) and sometimes i wish i could be in ash's place instead of where i am now...
