| This is a story I am currently in the process of creating. I will try to release a chapter a week, at the very least. I'll release the fourth chapter later on. Please let me know what you think about it. Criticism is welcome. Also please let me know if you find any mistakes, whether it be grammatical, or an error in spelling. SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATING EVERYONE. I've had football all week. Chapter 3 is literally a couple sentences from being done. I'll try and finish that now and upload it. Chapter 1 The sun began rising into the sky. A faint orange glow showered the levitating ship. A boy sat in the back corner of the boat. He was just awakening, but his grip on his dagger never loosened. He could still remember the words of his Dad as he sent him to Maple Island: There are two types of people in this world. Those who murder, and those who get murdered. You will never know which you are until the time comes. The boy was determined to prove his Dad wrong. So he kept his dagger close, as an aid in times of danger, and a threat in times of panic. JACK! The boy looked up to see the captain of the ship, yelling from the top deck of the ship. They soared through a cloud and the Captain stumbled a bit gripping the steering wheel to avoid his fall. Jack, well be getting to Nautilus Harbor in about 5 minutes, get your things. Jack stood up and stumbled over to his cabin. He could faintly hear the captain calling to the others aspiring to be pirates and train under Kyrin, the head pirate. He grabbed his dagger and slipped it into his belt loop. He wrapped his tattered brown bandanna around his dark black hair and slipped into a baggy grey t-shirt and some plain black jeans. He stepped into his sandals and walked out of his cabin. He said his goodbyes to Cabin 357 and joined the small crowd about to depart. *** Jack Rex, please report to the captains lobby Jack stood up from the bench and began to walk down the hallway. He gazed to his left side, only a handful of people remained in the hallway. Few had what it took to become a Pirate, and even fewer wanted to. Pirates were looked down upon in the community. They were the filthy rats of Victoria Island. They were lower than the ground they walked on. Yet, the legends of the great pirates who persevered through the troubles and difficulties gave hope to those who chose that path. Jack silently pushed open the door and stepped into the room. His eyes drifted from the swords and guns that lined the walls to the pictures of the once great pirates and eventually focused on the back of Kyrins chair. She was engrossed in a map entitled Lost Seas. Jack stuttered: Umm, Excuse me Im here to become a pirate. Kyrin shot up and quickly dragged the map out of view. Oh, Im so sorry. I didnt realize you were waiting there. Take a seat; just let me look over your files She slipped on her glasses on and skimmed over his file. After about 30 seconds she took off the glasses and looked up at Jack. |
