Increased MTS transaction fee?

I was bored today and decided to check out the GMS website and this is what I found... "Due to many players using the MTS as storage, the MTS has experienced higher than expected traffic and has become a burden on the game's performance. In order to reduce these 'bogus' listings on the MTS we are raising the base transaction fee from 100 NX to 500 NX. However, to encourage legitimate use of the service, we are lowering the percentage transaction fee from 10% to 7%." And they also included this example to make it seem like this is "fair": 15,000 NX 100 NX + 10% of 15,000 = 16,600 NX New System: 15,000 NX 500 NX + 7% of 15,000 = 16,550 NX Wow... If I understand this correctly from now on when buying something that is less that 500 NX you will pay over 100% in transaction fees? I find this really unfair and I think that nexon just wants players to stop MTSing useless junk for a bit of NX (I do this often) and get people to buy a lot of NX and buy something over 15k.. And buying small things from MTS will now be a total rip off?And the thing is that most of transactions in MTS are really small and a lot of people benefit from selling the stuff they would NPC anyway for some NX or Buying something that is hard to find in FM or just for the convenience for a small price. I found this really disappointing and I think that the new system is indeed "bogus" LF> mercy Tell me your view on this =)

for many people i think, that small amount of increased transaction fee is a big difference. I myself hav no NX cash except for 800 (all gained from selling on mts). It's difficult for me to buy necessities now that would usually be at a reasonable price.

techboy said: "idk i dont think its that bad" Its not that bad for people who buy NX weekly but for me for example earning 1k nx on MTS is very hard and now that I have to pay 500 NX just to buy an item worth 100 nx i dont think thats fair o_0

A lot of people are lagging because of how bogged down the MTS is. To try and remedy it, the tax is being changed and cheap items will be less profitable, but more expensive items will be more profitable. They're hoping to remove the infinite amount of useless stuff put up that's priced at 110nx or whatever and encourage the sales of actual items If anything this will just increase server performance, take a chill pill

This will do nothing to stop people using MTS as "storage"... All it does is makes SELLING items at low prices impossible. It still only costs you 5k mesos to put something up. >_>

So, to stop people from using MTS as storage, they raise prices to 660 NX. Still, you can put items in the storage for the 5K fee. Is it just me or is Nexon run by a blonde 16 year old girl?

Most people have to start out small and make profit until they can buy something big but now its gonna be impossible to do that because to make profit you have to start out with 20k nx and many people dont have this much NX just by selling their items. As I said before this is nothing but another gimmick to force players to buy more NX... |
