I will be sending this letter and urge you/your friends to do the same. Change it how you see fit. SEND IT TO ACCOUNT->CASH SHOP I tried to make a petition but the online site wouldn't make it and its the only one that would work in this situation. Just send it in Dear Nexon Co: I am writing this on behalf of all maplestory players in the wake of a horrible idea that Nexon is implementing in MTS. The new tax raise (500 NX useage fee + 7% tax) is simply unfair for players and anyone who uses MTS, for what you call the right reasons. Let�s look at some items that now will not be sold because of this tax raise, that are in the best interest of players. Scroll for gloves for att 60% (GFA 60% hereafter) is one of the most MTSed items because of its meso:nx ration and its use in game. The old style of doing things meant that most GFA 60% are sold for 1000-1100 pretax, 1200-1310 post tax. The new tax means that the same pretax will sell for 1570-1677. How is this in anyway fair for the player? This is what MTS is used for mostly, the correct way of using it. Now because of this, many people will not be using MTS as a means to sell items and make money for 2x cards. The reason for the tax hike is to �prevent abuse of MTS as storage.� This tax hike DOES NOTHING TO PREVENT THIS. You are simply raising the price to make profit, which in such a VITAL game element is immoral. But what you don�t see is that this tax hike will turn off many players from buying cards to purchase items, and in turn will lead to MANY more meso site deals. I, and many other players, humbly request that this new tax hike IS NOT INITIATED. This will help prevent corruption and illegal meso to money trades. Sincerely, Maplestory Player

Maybe they did it so people wont use MTS to ai things like GFAs, then.

The good luck, nexon staff don�t own the game they just are normal people doing their job if I was working and some one send me a ticket demanding things in a rude way I just delete it is not like I will get extra pay for it.

Send more tickets and they will say that is spam. Take the threads on basil for example, a rude wall of text using capitals will get flamed way more than a short one with proper grammar and paragraphs.

You are thick man. We are trying to explain and you aren't listening. This tax is clearly on all aspects of MTS, but they can't charge the tax to items listed before 7/28, in forsale/wanted, because they already had a tax on them, so the whole listing would change. The auction / buynow charges tax after transaction. THE TAX IS BEING APPLIED TO ALL CATEGORIES, JUST NOT IN TWO FOR ITEMS LISTED BEFORE 7/28 "I See no where that says Items listed before the update, do you? I don't." Items that WERE LISTED. Were is past tense and therefore before the update. for expensive items, it's actually cheaper. but for cheaper items it isnt. People who use it as a 'storage' tend to place cheaper items anyway. What i dont get is why punish the buyers at all, unless the people using it as 'storage' are basically using the mts as a type of "duey" decimal system.

They should just make the minimum you can sell something for 500 NX. Then less people would use it to xfer, and even if they did, Nexon would get 50 cents per transfer anyway. o___o

If you sell an item for 110 NX, the buyer price is 221 in the old system. Do the same with the new system and it's barely any higher (235) My letter to Nexon would be how the tax change would do almost nothing to stop the MTS being used as a storage/transfer system instead, because if you priced an item much higher, you actually lose less NX Cash than if you would in the old system. (Being the son of a somewhat prominent economist helps)
