Well, my birthday is next week and I really wanna buy a 4-string Bass Guitar... I need to know what a good beginner Bass is. It must be electric (lol, do they even make acoustic basses?). Preferably between $100-$200. Doesn't have to come with an amp, I can buy on my own. Also, is there a good website to find bass chords and even free lessons on? All help is appreciated . Thanks, Nakatumi

I found a bass I would like on the Guitar Center website. Is there a way to see if it is in stock at the store nearest to me?" I suggest just ordering it from them. I ordered my bass online from Guitar Center. I was a bit skeptical at first but it came fine. Now I get everything from them online. (Though I love just hanging out at Guitar Center to play around) |

Lol, I bought my bass for 420 dollars. You can't get really good basses with only 100-200 dollars.

As for lessons, follow this here link. http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Lessons/ As for a bass, this is my recommendation. http://www.sagamusic.com/catalog/details.asp?ProductID=PB-10 However, this is only worth it if you're willing to put a lot of time and effort into it. But if you are, you get a superb product considering how much you pay for it, plus you get to customize the finish (if you're lazy you can leave the finish natural and put some lacquer on it. Hope this helps.

I suggest getting a Squier. Really good beginner bass. Check out this website for really detailed pics of basses. http://theperfectbass.com/ Edit: I plan on upgrading my 60's Squier with SD Basslines or Fender Custom Shop Jazz Pick-ups. I want a Leo Bad@ss II Bridge too. Maybe with some flatwounds. Also, you should study up what kind of you one. If you want to get a simple yet complex sound, get a Precision Bass. For a variety of sounds, get a Jazz Bass.

Uhh Fender Squier Jazz Bass Jazz bass is not only good for jazz but really good all around for any genre of music. Plus if you're a bassist, you'll always play some jazz. Jazz is just awesome Tips Avoid packages. You get crap Remember to also purchase an amp, chord for amp or w/e it's called. I guess it's called wire, a strap to well... hold up your bass I can set up a video convo any day I'm free and give you free lessons as long as you have a web cam.
