800m for a 50% chance of maxing genesis like, 9 levels early? Can no bishops wait 9 levels? Or am I missing something? My basic question is, what is so critical about Genesis30?

Skillbooks don't give you free points in a skill, they allow you to max it to that point.

you obviously don't understand how mastery books work they don't make your skill that level they make it so you can increase it to that level, which you wouldn't be able to otherwise

The book doesnt give you the points and max it at 30, all it does is increase the mastery lvl. When you first get its mastery lvl is at 10, meaning you can put 10 points into it. Once you have 5 points, you can try and pass gen 20. If it works it doesnt mean you now have lvl 20 gen, it means you have lvl 5 with the ability to max it at 20. At 15 points you can try and pass gen 30, if it works it doesnt give you the points, just the ability to put more points into max it
