http://edition.cnn.com/2009/US/07/23/officer.gates.arrest/index.html In case you don't want to read the whole thing, to sum it up, Henry louis gates jr, was arrested. He had some trouble opening his front door at his house with a friend, and his neighbour called the police, thinking that he was breaking and entering. When the police came, he refused to co-operate, refusing to give out his name and proof that this was indeed his house. He kept saying "WHY? CAUSE I'M A BLACK MAN?". Now his creating this whole stir of drama, and trying to get the OFFICER to apologize. Kudos to the officer for his actions, and not apologizing. It really pisses me off that whenever a black person is uncomfortable, they play the race card. "Why, cause I'm black?". -_- Opinions? Discuss?

Racism is still around. People make it seem as if their not racist, but people are still looking down on each others races.

YES I TOTALLY AGREE! I was watching msnbc and this black guy was like in white america this in white america that. And I was just like what? I thought there was one america... Black people think they're the only ones that get treated wrong, if the guy was smart he would've presented his ID, and screw obama for saying the officer acted stupidly. GOD

Why does everyone look at it like a stereotype? Maybe if they saw a white person, they would've done the same.

However I do know that I am incredibly disappointed in the word selection President Obama used to describe the arrest of that man as stating the actions were "stupid." I do believe the officers acted in line and had acted correctly. In-fact, I believe that man should be happy that the police were asking for an ID for HIS OWN PROTECTION! |

Race card is the worst card in the deck. Yes, worse than 3 of diamonds.
