i`ve never used the M16 in any FPS game, so i`d pick the AK47 over it anyday. i guess it`d depend on the user- but the M16 is like the standard assault rifle for the US, German, & UK armies while the AK is recognized for being a "terrorist" gun because it`s so easy to come by & easy to use .. tl ; dr - don`t know

They are 2 very different rifles. They are both assault rifles yes, but different calibers. A M16 is a .223 ,and a AK-47 is a 7.62x33mm which is equivalent to a 30-06. They both have their pros and cons. M16- Pros: When shot the bullet will tumble around inside of you instead of go straight out. It's a much easier caliber to handle. It is far more accurate. Cons: Small caliber Thats all I can think of ------------------------- AK-47 Pros: Large caliber Cheap Cons: The bullet is heavier so it drops faster. Less accurate Not as far range Not good in all weather conditions It will go straight through you. So it won't be as effective. -------------------- As you can see the AK-47 has far more cons then pros. Which is why the M16 is the chosen assault rifle.

irl ak47 for power, but not fun to clean all the time m16/m4 for accuracy, used with the right ammo, it practically cleans itself and never really needs to be cleaned
