How does HS work?

SO if I party a bishop, what is the exp rate, is it 1.2? How many people do I need in my party to have 1.5 exp?

From my experience, maxed HS gives 1.5x the normal experience from a monster. That is distributed among the party and then you get a bit of party bonus xp. So no, you will not get the instant 1.5x xp from killing a monster but should get something equivalent when your party members kill at the same time.

Maxed HS gives 1.5x the experience in any party with at least two people in it. For example, if I'm partying at Himes and I have a DK with me, instead of getting 3200 exp per kill we get a total of 4800 shared between us. But only if it's maxed. Level 1 gives 21% more if I'm not mistaken.

I'm pretty sure it's 150% exp total only if there are 3 people in the party. In any case, everyone loves priests. ^_^

If you have 4 people in the party at most 5 levels lower than the monster being killed, the 4800 xp earned from killing a Hime under HS is shared among the 4 people. The overall xp is increased if all 4 members are killing monsters at the same time, generating their own contribution of xp to the party.
