Get a pretty good rod. I suggest a ugly stik rod 7' + A good spinning reel, a big one. Not a tiny reel. 60lbs+ Braided line If they give you hooks and bait and such. That should cover you.

fake rubber baits are usually used to catch those huge ass mother father fishes. Just have a rod, a adequate size box with ice in it to keept the fish you caught, and stop by a store to pick up a pack of blood worms bringing a pocket knife always helps and buy extra hooks + weights just in case, and keep another set of line too.

This will be good for any fish that you can catch on the pier. You can get lower quality stuff. However it can break or so. |

You can buy that hawg seeker if you want. It's a pretty good rod and reel combo. However I suggest getting it in the spinning type. Because push buttons suck. Also put heavier line on there. Then you should be good.

MunCHyo9 said: " How much will line cost me?" Like $20. Get BRAIDED LINE! If you don't know what that is ask the person there to help you. Get 50lbs at the very least. However you can get like 300 yards of 60lb braided line. For likeee $16.
