I am a 14 year old boy who is dealing with regular teenager acne and I have it mild not severe. Does anyone know any inexpensive way to get rid of my acne that I have. And don't say wash your face daily. I already do that. Thanks

Use stridex pads, or cotton an alcohol. Another thing that's helpful would be to not use any oily products near your face.

Drink lots of water. Have good hygiene. Wash your face everyday. Watch what you eat. I don't really have problems with acne... barely get any.. and if I do it's only there for 2-3 days max. Thankful for that.

Drugstore acne products work fine! Inexpensive too, to that person who said something about rubbing achohol, it dries out your face. You'll probably break out if your face is dry.

I've never had any major problems with acne, but I do tend to get one big annoying pimple that stays for days or even weeks. I don't have any of those fancy facewashing things like Neutrogena, Proactiv, or Clean & Clear. Usually, I wash my face 2 times a day with regular bar soap =/ The only problem that I have is with white head and black heads. For me, the black heads ONLY appear on my nose and they only started to first appear a couple of weeks ago, and I have no idea how to get rid of them. I heard that black heads take long to go away or something As for the white heads, I get them occasionally. Most of them go away on their own after a couple of days or so, but SOME choose to be annoying little buggers and stay on my face for weeks, even months. And I've been drinking alot of water and I haven't been eating much junk food =O I tried the toothpaste thing, but it only makes my skin red and blotchy for a couple hours o-o What I usually did was I took an ice cube and rub it around on the pimple-y spots on my face. It helped by reducing the swelling :P

I'm more or less in the same boat as you. From experience, your genetics has a lot to do with your acne. For example, someone who has a more oily and sensitive skin type is much more likely than someone who has a normal (meaning, no excessive oil production, not as sensitive, etc). Drinking plenty of water is a must, it cleans out your system. As for diet, just don't eat too much junk food/fried foods. My skin is a lot clearer now, I just have remaining dried up whiteheads and blackheads here and there. What I did was to wash my face with two different cleansers. One of them was a blackhead scrub wash thing, the other was a daily cleanser. I also took a couple of multi-vitamins and some collagen tablets. Collagen helps promote skin health or something. Along with keeping clean, try not to touch your face during the day. Your hands have bacteria from who-knows-where, so if you ABSOLUTELY need to itch your face, go get a tissue first.
