| Hi everyone, after posting my prologue here, i received some good comments so here is chapter 1, again, no flaming plz! and i put the prologue here again for those who didn't read it. If you already read it, just skip to chapter 1. MapleChaos Prologue- ��The end of Ezuka�� It was a fearful yet amazing view The dark storm approached. Commander Zunkan, standing on the top of the holy castle of the Ezuka kingdom, watched in horror as thousands, perhaps millions of battleships sailed towards their island, like deadly snakes slithering towards their prey. It had been a brutal month since he and his soldiers had managed to protect their land from these devils, but this time, as the cold wind brushed past Zunkan��s face, he knew that this invasion will rewrite history and crush their kingdom for the first time. ��Zun-kan.�� At the sound of this familiar voice, Zunkan turned around silently. Just as he expected, the person standing in front of him was the old king of this land. ��Your majesty, the enemies are invading,�� Zunkan cried, ��It is too dangerous here, please evacuate to somewhere safe.�� ��Does it matter anymore? After all, I will not survive tonight. Tell me, Zunkan, how many soldiers do we still have?�� ��Approximately fifty thousand soldiers, your majesty.�� ��And our enemies?�� The old king asked. ��Judged by the size of the invasion, I would say ar��around a few millions at least.�� ��And yet you believe we stand a chance?�� ��Your majesty, if we play our defense well, we might still be able to���� ��The truth, Zunkan.�� ��Very well then, from my view, nothing can save us now, we have perhaps a little over three hours at most before it all ends, but our soldiers will fight with honor until our last breathe.�� There was a moment of silence before the king spoke again, this time, there was despair and tears in his eyes. ��I have expected this, Zunkan. I have always known that our enemies, the ambitious Yaza Empire, would try to conquer the world. Even though we have failed, we must ensure that the others will not, so that one day, they will topple that devilish Empire once and for all. I have chosen you Zunkan, you will warn the land of Maplestory to the west of this sea so that they shall not suffer the same fate as us.�� ��But your majesty, I can��t leave my soldiers, my citizens, and you to die. I have to fight for my kingdom.�� Zunkan protested. ��Zunkan, you don��t understand. You will make no difference in this hopeless battle, but you can bring this world hope if you leave this land now and warn the others! Every one of us depends on you, my loyal commander. Accept this quest!�� ��I��I��I accept this quest.�� Zunkan exclaimed, ��I will not let you down!�� ��Good,�� the old king said with his shivering voice.��Then take the ship I prepared for you and sail, sail towards the land of Maplestory where our dreams will come true. Zunkan, I bless you and know this in your heart, every one of us know that you will succeed!�� After listening |
