Well folks, it seems as if Obama's health care plan isn't sitting well with the general public. 46% of people favor the health care plan, while 49% are opposed to it. Ouch, sorry Obama. Better luck next time. America is finally telling him that we don't want to become like Canada and Great Britain, where a person has to wait for months to get a simple medical procedure. Also, Obama's general approval ratings seem to be sliding. I guess we all expected that, though. In Great Britain, people wait MONTHS for a simple procedure. It's true, there's stories all over the news about it. This is a fact, why would you dispute it?

I've been too busy to pay attention to the news and Obama. What's the deal with the health care plan? You said something about people having to wait for months for a simple medical procedure.. with the plan would they not be able to just go to a free clinic and pay upfront with cash, if they have it? I suppose I'm a bit out of the loop here. :D

With the public option, the government has the ability to either approve you for a medical procedure or deny you. So, here's an example. Let's say I'm 80 years old, and I need bypass surgery. Of course, the government doesn't want to pay for this. So they'll say, "Well, you've already lived past the average life expectancy, so we don't want to invest our money into you." So I won't get the surgery, and I'll die. There are reports of this happening in Canada and Great Britain. I don't want the government telling me what surgeries I can and cannot get. I want to choose for myself. That's one of the many problems with it.
