Arrow Blow / Double Shot Blend instead of Focus?

I see so many xbowman guides that demand that we spend our last few SP before lvl 70 into Focus? Heck, I'm not even sure why I'd want to spend so many points into maxing Soul Arrow (600 seconds without using an arrow). I'm a guy that really likes to see Arrow Blow to finish off a monster (I already have 10 points in AB at lvl 67). But I also like to use Double Shot to get monsters' health down (I maxed DS before 2nd job). I like both skills and I want both of them to be strong. [Question] Right now at lvl 67 I have 0 points in Focus, my question is, is Focus REALLY that important where I'd need to spend ALL of my last SP before lvl 70 in it? I mean, I have 258 accuracy... I'm pretty sure I can hit any monster even 30 lvls above me. Or could I make my AB a little stronger as well?

Focus is main purpose is to take up SP. In 1st and 2nd job, there aren't many useful skills, so we're left with extra SP. Focus is just the place to dump those points. Also, Focus is added for the Avoid boost rather than the Accuracy boost. Maxing Arrow Blow is fine.

I mistakenly maxed AB rather than DS so by the end of 2nd job I had both max AB + DS. It didn't make me a weaker bowman compared to others with focus. I don't think it matters much. =]

Oh man thanks so much for answering me guys. I was so doubtful. I totally forgot about the avoid in focus... and it worries me that I don't even have 1 point in there. But, I guess I'll just put all my remaining SP into Arrow Blow then! Thanks!

focus is so very worthless, i wish i had gotten arrow blow instead. so now the sole purpose of focus is to make faces with other archers using the eye animation. *focus* *blizzard mouth* *focus* tadaa face ^________^

Only reason for focus is if you have darkness on you and the monster have avoid, a high one other then normal monsters.

yea im wondering that myself cuse i think with all that dex u get alot of acc and i dont really see the point of focus besides having it for the eye thingy

really.... i think maxing arrow blow and DS would be a better way for us to own wats the really point of focus if we bowmans have a high accuracy and good aviod

Not much point in two attacks really. Using Arrow Blow for knockback would be the best reason to use it, but then you could just outright kill it with Double Shot.

since i have a played all the jobs im sort of used to using one atk skill on monsters.. like magic claw for a mage most used PS and SB for warrirors AB at first then DS L7 and Double Stab and SK FF and Double Shot
