Okay, so here's the deal.. today when I was on maple, I was roaming through the Phantom forest looking for a particular NPC that was in there, including one that was past the jump quest of doom. Anyway, after finally figuring out how to reach the Valley of Heroes, I decided to have a ball and show some of my friends the wonderful "pillar of doom" which spins and moves back and forth throughout the map. After showing a friend or two, I showed introduced one last friend to the pillar. As I displayed the damage it delivered (50k+), he seemingly walked through it. I could've sworn we both died, next thing I knew, he was running away from it but on the other side! After seeing him run away, I could've sword he would've died.. but he somehow made his way to the 2nd pillar but from running on the opposite end. Tell me, do you think he was merely lucky? Or yeah.. *coughs*hacking*coughs*.

The pillar shows different at everyone's screen, depends when you entered the map. So it looked to you as if he went through it, but it wasn't even there on his screen.

i don't think it could miss but were you near a thorn? cause i use those to take damage and skip the pillar

I think you should stop taking maplestory so seriously,its a game. Hacking or not he/she is your friend :D And stop making yourself look like all the other girls in maple. It looks so cold and unoriginal.

Even though you both see the pillar, it appears on different spots on both of your screens. On your screen, the pillar may have been right on top of him but on his screen, the pillar was probably behind him.

on your computor it delays what everyone else does by a second so though it showed you getting hit and him at the same spot that may of not have been the case.

When you enter the map the pillar is reset for each person. It may look like hes going through it on yours, but actually it's not touching him on his.

Ummm your screen and his screen are not the same. It looks like he walks through the pillar but on his screen he is really just doing what you are doing... His Character is probably delayed on your screen.

uhmm... that JQ's moving pillar of death is not sync with everyone, which means what you see may not be what everyone sees. Unless you saw the damage on him from the pillar, then his pillar just not in sync with yours.

also its impossible nearly to enter the map at the exact time someone else did

SourDonut is right. I have seen this happen MANY times. On each screen, its different for each person.
