okay, this thread is for those who claimed mages are boring or those who's gonna quit their mages for this very reason: they only use ultimate+pot without moving during 4th job, and they suck at bosses.... okay prove me wrong: standing at the exact same spot and spam tt+pot at ht is so much better? i prefer hime with cl better o.o FLAME AWAY~

well i guess it cant be boring but if you don't use the ultimate and actually play the game by killing with things like composition and watnot then mages are still p[retty fun ultimate is mainly for random pwnage i guess

Well, HT is different than training because you have crap like Seduce and all of HT's other attacks comin' at ya. But the thing you need to admire are the skills people never mention. As a NL, I can totally relate. People say all we do is spam TT+SP, but to fully enjoy a NL IMO, you also need to take the understanding of your class to a whole 'nother level. Sure, for single-target, I mainly use TT, for mobs I use Avenger. But I also enjoy using SP. Sure, I got it like 60 lvls ago, but if you think about it, telling your shadow to get up and get goin' is still cool. And FJ isn't the most fun skill evarrr, but it's still nice to be able to fly around a map and be able to master it so you can land in that one exact spot to perfectly execute your next attack! And there are the skills many don't even know exist/know that NLs still use that I enjoy. I still Disorder C. Rogs to solo the pair on the ship (still no good drops, but still fun). I also like being able to run around in "god mode" with Darksight. I also like the risk that comes with Draining certain monsters at my level, but just in case that rolls odd, I still got another dice to roll with Shadow Shifter and my high Avoid. I love the danger! And Ninja Storm, I just <333333333. Mine's Lvl 1, it sux statistically. 42% chance to Stun and KB monsters like half an inch away from you. But I still like it. Every time it works on the whole mob and I see stunned monsters flying to my left and right, that 1 point in the skill was worth it. My Taunt is also Lvl 1, it's not really as useful yet, but it's still fun to watch the animations with it. And Ninja Ambush - nothing says "omgarz, he Ninj0r masta! eeee!" like a mob of Ninjas that pop out and harass monsters for you. xD In short - enjoy the smaller things and all that AoE spam won't seem as bad. xD Edit: Oh yeah, I missed Shadow Shifter. Nothing like +Misses and an Auto-F2 to lighten up the mood. xD Edit2: And yeah, my post is so NL-based, but that's because I know what I enjoy from my class and you should be able to do the same for yours. I respect a lot of skills AM have, like Seal, Slow, Paralyze, CL, Elquinnes, Ifrit, Ice Demon, Fire Demon, Mist, ... it goes on, but I'll admit my handling of a Magician is teh sux, but with your experience, these skills can be very fun for sure! xD

@ above i agree with you ^^ at least someone here is not a damage hoar :D not tt all day btw about the ht thing, well you pretty much pot and get hit by the same attack over and over again, i played an nl and got bored of it easily lol, tt and l7 are almost the same :P

Don't make a Mage if it's boring. Seriously. I like being a Bishop. It's awesome being able to do more damage than any other class my level.

I love my Ice/Lightning Wizard... That's why I made him. It's all based on personal opinion really... Some people like running into the heat of the battle and smacking things with sharp pointy objects, some like throwing sharp pointy objects, some like firing sharp pointing objects from a bow and then some like using the natural elements of the world around you to deal damage against opponents from a distance.

MAGE rule them alll for me my mage was the best option when i begin playing maple and never gona change that
