How many lives do you have?

In Maplestory. Let's say everytime you get scammed, hacked, fail a scrolling project, patch which would screw you up, etc. would make you lose a life. How many lives could you lose before its game over? And what would be a "1 Up" or "Safety Charm" for you? I'd say I have 3 lives, gaining 1 life everytime a meet an awesome buddy and my buddies would be my safety charms.

Going through your way, I have 80(?) awesome friends and hacked 0 times, so 80 lifes. EDIT: Didnt read top, so I have like -800 lifes, scrolling failure ftl.
