kay. So my question to you guys is : what motivates you? I have a level 54 lowdex Bandit that I want to get to 90+ :] Bandits > What makes you want to get to CB? CBs > What makes you want to get to Shadower? Shadowers > What makes you keep playing your character?

DarkQuill : Because each Bandit advancement is a higher echelon of awesomeness. Once you're a Shadower, every 3-5 levels is another dose of awesomeness, because there's all these extra toys to play with, you become far more efficient and faster at doing stuff, and your damage potential continues to soar. One of the more fun parts for me personally is trying to dodge as many attacks as possible with Boomerang Step. Other classes cop a hit on the chin, some can maneuver out of the way, but for those AOE attacks or ones that are almost impossible to avoid, it proves a fun challenge, and pays off in the use of less potions (and mesos with MG). This. Bandit Pride.

I wanna get boomerang step so i can do the CWK jump quest by going through the pillars with boomerang step. Venom seems like it speeds up training too. =D

pavchkaI'll post it here, because the original thread was deleted. Luckily I saved it to my computer. [quote=pavchka, december 7th 2008] Hello Bandits, Chief Bandits and Shadowers of Basil Market, may I offer you a Chinese Wall of text? I know Im not the first one to write a thread about this issue; actually Im the second. The first one was ironically enough a Hermit. I have noticed how MANY CBs are at this very moment getting demotivated or quitting altogether and it saddens me. I believe people dont know WHAT a CB is any more. Let me therefore teach yo- uh host a lesson. Different classes have different purposes Pft, what an open door. you guys are probably thinking, but it is not an open door AT ALL. People can think of only two things nowadays: DPM and bossing. Community work. Biiiiiig numbers. Let me take my own CB for an example. My Savage Blow hits between 4.5 and 5.5K. In theory I could hit 7K, but Savage Blow is a little quirky and there is the weapon defence of the monsters to deal with. Low, huh? You now have the opportunity to be amazed at my low damage. Maybe youll feel a little more comfortable about your (I dont doubt it) higher damage. How can I go on with my low damage while you cant? But I can also hit 16K. Yes sir, 16K Without Meso Explosion. But nobody noticed. Nobody EVER sees it. Thats because this 16K is conceiled, disguised as 6 blows of each between 1900 and 3000. This 16K is packaged in the move we call Band of Thieves. Now add the numbers of an average BoT up and marvel at your damage. Why does nobody ever notice this 16K? Its because it is not ONE BIG number, but 6 small ones. 6 slices of bread make one loaf. And here is the problem, ladies and gentlemen; todays Maplers only look at big, single numbers, not at the small ones. The Bandit was to deal one powerful blow; a rather Savage one, I might add. The Chief Bandits single attacks are relatively weak; Assaulter hits up to 450%. And now a Hermit passes by and this Yay, 450% damage + stun + ignores Weapon DEF is reduced to lower damage than the Hermit. But we have a powerful mob attack. And Nexon has changed the game to OUR convenience. Singapore! Perfect place for a BoT build! Windraiders, Ay Caramba! Typhons! My CB is now getting an orga censured. We can mob, people, we can mob! DO IT! The main purpose of the CB is to mob. We have a pretty good mob; its powerful, its ranged (yes, it is), its spammable (1.5 years ago a CB laughed at me when I said that) BUT Boss runs. CBs were popular in boss runs before the Onyx Apples fell of the Amoria trees. Then the Hermits took over. First of all: there is more than just bossing. Second of all are Shadowers not as bad as bossing as you may think. I must admit here I have no Shadower experience whatsoever, but I heard Shadowers on Basil say theyre wanted for Zakum and Horntail runs because of Smoke Bomb and because their mob, Boomerang Step, has an invincibility feature similar to that of Assaulter that allows the

It humours me how people don't see that Shadowers is like every class in one, and the best too. We have the power, the mobility, the speed, what more is there? The god?... We got that too... shhh ;]. Us bandit's have very high avoid + shadow shifter which is another big win. I saw this video of this 17x shadower soloing zak a while back, guess how many pots he used in all... I think it was a bit over 100, for an entire zakum solo. Wth, I know. We are able to move around easier then other classes as well, our skills + avoidability help us. Skills like assulter and boomstep make us like one with the wind. You can go places where others can't with assulter since you're basically a bullet at the mosnters. Boomstep has an invincibliity frame within it so you don't get hit when you attack. Other classes like NL put down classes like us shads because they think they're strong... lol that's not true, they are only strong cause of SE. I bet if the two classes were in a ks war, the shad would come out on top if the NL didn't have SE, I'd bet strong money on that forreals. My friend did a test on how long it'd take 4 shads and 4 NL's to do zak. Both classes had godly people in it and the NL's didn't have SE. The shad's took over half an hour, the NL's took over an hour... GG. I would like to see a group of people HT or PinkBean WITHOUT A SHAD, they'd never make it through unless they're hp NL's and hp BM's... Shad's are required for both PB and HT no matter what. Basically... Bandit Pride yo.

Acually you do need shads on a PB because there is a time during pb where the statues I think does this kind of like a gene that does 32k to everyone, and shads need to smoke so the NL's don't die.
