Im looking into buying an RK. How do you relate 1h atk to 2h atk? ie, a 99 atk rk=95 atk rohen or something along the lines of that. Is it multiply by 1.15?

Atk from 1h sword plus shield = attack from 2h sword * 1.15

ooh, smexy. bought an 100/9 RK for around 4.5k nx, compared to a 94/? rohen. atk shields are EXPENSIVE though... after looking through annihlatrons (sp?) damage tables, looks like 1H*1.15=2H

Is it multiply by 1.15?" ok there are 2 ways you need to multiply, first for the 1h/2h ratio http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/~ccsoon/WeaponComparisons.htm (best thing ever) (1h attack) = (2h attack)[(4.6 + dex/str)/(4.0 + dex/str) Normal dex: (2h attack) = (1h attack) * 1.1412 Dexless: (2h attack) = (1h attack) * 1.1463 General approximation: 1.1450 the second is the speed you need to factor in: now RK is speed 4 and the Rohen is Speed 6. meaning the RK has a 1.1979 advantage (meaning the Rohen has a 0.8348 disadvantage) there is a third thing you have to factor in, total attack setup, i.e. gloves,capes,pots/rage i'll assume a 20att bonus 12 rage and 8 glove RKs = RK setup = 119 att Rs = Rohen Setup = 115 att Rs x 1.1450 = The Att the RKs needs to be to match Damage Per Hit More importantly is DPM Rs x 1.1450 x 0.8348 = the Att the RKs needs to be to match dpm = 109.9 (110) now the Red Katana Beats the Rohen in DPM by 9 att or so.

We will not kill you for this. If everyone knew how to do the math, then there wouldn't be a Warrior's section. In terms of damage per hit, a 99 attack RK is equal to a 86 attack Rohen. In terms of damage per minute, a 99 attack RK is equal to a 104 attack 2H Rohen. That is for JUST the weapon, however. Factor in a moderate amount of attack from other equips, 30 attack, and the results are: The RK matches up to a 83 attack Rohen in damage per hit, and 105 in damage per minute. @ Taleko, you forgot 1H to 2H ratios, from what I can see.

I like how we have different methods but still come up with mostly the same answer, mine usually has a bigger margin of error then yours though because you even caclulate the str given off each weapon whereas my method normally disregards that.

@above he edited it... and i also have a question somewhat related to this, if i buy a 110/14 rk what atk sparta surpases it DPM wise. (Assume i have 12/1wgs, warrior elixirs, MoN and 16/8 shield) tyvm

I have a question, say im using a 115/12 DS (Devil's Sunrise), What attack RK and what attack carabella would i need to overtake the DS IF i have an 18atk shield and the following equips; 15atk SCG, 10atk PAC, 2atk FS, 10atk MoN.

you have those equips and ur using a 115/12 DS! -yanks own hair out-
