annoying problem: blurry graphics

hello i have been messing around my computer to make it run faster and the bootup time faster but now i try maplestory and the Text is all blurry. Basically anything with letters comes out as blurry. Can anyone help please? there is no solutions online and I may think it is the graphics card. I use nVidia btw

Look for a way to increase the text size. If it's a laptop, look for blurring options. Or, get glasses? XP

im on a windows xp and ill SS them later edit: i wont undo the changes ive made, i didnt like my computer being slow

Lol it's weird, i got the same prob since today. I logged on MS and the Chat box text was kinda blurry but still understandable, the quests text was also blurry. It seems that the font of the text changed to a similar one, but not the same. :S

You disabled ClearType. Just renable it.

Use the ClearType Tuner to setup/enable ClearType: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/step1.aspx The ClearType Tuner only works on Internet Explorer or Firefox with IETab enabled.

I think your video card isn't updated enough to run maplestory, try to go to the manufacturer site and update it (nvidia.com)

Did you install the ActiveX thingy-majig when you accessed the tuner? @darkkillerEx: SiS 760 is probably the most unsupported chipset ever, but it works with Maplestory and other games that require at least Geforce2 graphics.

Sounds like ur dpi setting is set to high. depending on your version of windows you can usually access this setting in the advanced display settings just set it to what ever is the most clear for you. I believe windows xp by default runs at 90 dpi. I could be wrong about the default being 90 but just mess with it till it clears up nicely. Another thing to check is your screen resolution. the higher resolution you can run at and still actually see and read everything the better the graphics will look.
