How this hack really started.

I've noticed that these rumors started appearing soon after certain phishing sites were first advertised. I think I know how this started. 1:Lvl 16 mule advertises phishing site. 2:Idiots put their acc info in to get "free 2x xp coupons" 3:Stolen Lvl 150 advertises phishing site. 4:More accounts are stolen since most people dont think someone would risk such a high lvl char of being banned 5:Idiot owner of lvl 150 claims his acc was stolen by some reality-bending pr0 hack to not look stupid. 6:Rumors spread. Its that simple folks.

I was the first one to have been hacked, I know this because my friends, the hackers, told me I was the tester, I'm pretty sure I'm not lvl 150.

Nah, I don't believe they are THAT stupid. However a complex hack to gain control of account info, sure. This unbelievable, as you said 'reality-bending' hack, I don't believe it. Don't get me wrong, there are probably a million ways to get access to an account. Going through this much trouble (basically a new frontier for hacks) for a game, I don't believe. C'mon, if they had it this close, don't you think they would have done something more epic than scam a couple guys?

Don't you think that it's more likely that accounts are being stolen because people are giving their info to websites, or that a guy capable of hacking into a swiss bank account took the time develop such an amazing hack to steal maplestory accounts?
