And coincidentally that's exactly why I think comics, the funnies, are one of the more important forms of art, to me, anyway. Comics are non-pretentious. It's all about getting a joke and a punchline through, maybe get some story and pathos or whatever in there every once in a while. But the tendency is, you read a comic, you laugh, and it makes you feel just that much better. And that's IT. No interpretation crap. You either like it, or you just don't care for it. End of story. It's simple, but everyone can get something out of it, as opposed to "REAL ART" which is so ridiculously elitist that even the people high on top don't even know what they're doing anymore.
