Hello there, I'm a level 84 Ranger. My current STR base is 55 and I'm planning to use Metus as a final weapon, Nisrock is a huge MAYBE. My STR with equips (zhelm, 15 str, deputy/MoN 5str) is 75 and I'm planning to use a STR top, but would it be worth it? I barely see any prescrolled STR female tops, actually I don't see any. So I could scroll myself one, but so far I've exploded three of these with 70% scrolls. 6str 5slot, 10str 3slot and 8str 4slot. (Piettra Top) Also, Top STR 70%'s and 30%'s seem to be very rare scrolls and very wanted, which makes scrolling even harder. My question is, should I just stick to adding my base STR, and try to get 25+ DEX Overall with few STR and shoes with few STR? Or should I scroll/find a X amount STR top and buy a DEX bottom? My budget for overall is about 250mil, and I currently see a DEX bottom, 17dex, for 150mil. It's also very rare to find female bowman bottoms scrolled with dex. What items would be good and suiting for me? If it any helps, I have horrible luck and past of failing and blowing items with dark scrolls. >.o Suggestions please! Sorry if it's confusing!

55 seems too low to begin with imo. i have 87 although i can wear the 120 bow with only an overall with like 10 str and lots of dex

You should get whatever equip that gives you the most useful stats, that is the most Str/Dex combined because you can just adjust your base Str to match. 55 does seem a bit low to use a metus since you have to make up for 40 Str. It's better to add into Str and have like a 20 dex overall than it is to add into Dex and only have a 15 Str overall. It's not just about how low your base Str is but how many points you have to play around with overall. In this case the one adding into Str will end up with more Dex in the end after equips.
