I want to start recording videos for MS. I tried Fraps and I found out it was 37$ for the full version. I haven't tried Hypercam yet. Do capture cards work for computers? Most people record montages for Xbox games with capture cards. Capture cards require money though. Any suggestions on a free decent quality way to record?

The way capture cards work is they record via a video input on the card that comes from the TV/Xbox. A capture card wouldn't work on a computer. I used a program once though that was free to record Halo PC videos. I think it was like Game Studio or Cam Studio or something.

Use Taksi or Xfire In-Game Recorder for your computer game recordings. It's free, and the quality is great (may vary due to settings and codecs)

And also there's a small lag before you can record again, so you miss out on a few secondes. Also the pain of pressing that record button every 30 secondes is... well it's not fun.
