Don't be afraid. It's not packet editing. Simple CRC-check bypassing with address updating. Nothing to worry about here. If it was packet editing, then the consequences would be much more severe, and I'm sure that the coders aren't that stupid. Now, as for the hack, it's been believed by me and some other guys here that it's just a maphack/DC hack/password stealer. Just don't enter any empty FM rooms if you've been lured by whispers, smega's etc. Trust no-one, not even people on your friends list or guild. If you've currently been hacked, try to change your pass/pin/email ASAP and file a ticket to Nexon (whom of course will sit back and laugh at your misfortune). Also, go to the in-game settings and locate the game options and unselect all of the invite/chat boxes (if you're THAT paranoid about this!) There will be emergency patches scheduled, I'm sure of it. Something like this will NOT go unnoticed.

Thanks for the information. One thing: You say Nexon will laugh at your misfortune, so why will they change it? I for one, believe Nexon cares, considering they continue to update this FREE (although that is arguable) game.

i got hacked. i went to a random ch and fm to set up my store. then i d/ced and just signed off. then 3 hours later i signed back on and i was stripped...
